Weekly Newsletter
October 14, 2019
The first quarter will end on Monday, October 14th.
First quarter conferences are underway.
We have witnessed our students embracing rituals and routines and we are excited to see the learning journey this school year. In addition to providing whole group instruction, the focus will shift to ensuring all students receive prescriptive instruction tailored to their instructional needs.
All teachers will collect data on student instructional goals and meet with administrators to share the progress towards these goals. Goals will be modified or altered based on individual student progression.
As always, you are welcome at anytime to schedule a teacher
conference to review your student’s data.
Thank you for allowing us to be apart of your student’s learning.

Bay Owls
Students in our one year-old program are embracing nature by
painting with pine cones.
This activity provides students with a great way to increase their sensory skills.
VPK Spotted Owls
In honor of Fire Safety Week, we used red, orange and yellow paint to make warm color creations.
We went on a scavenger hunt in building 1 looking for fire safety equipment. We found several fire alarms, fire extinguishers, EXIT signs, emergency lights and smoke detectors.
Mrs. Lynn’s
Kindergarten Class
Kindergarten students have been working on building their foundational math skills using the Singapore Math curriculum.
They can count and represent sets of numbers 0-10 and write the corresponding numerals.
Mrs. Amanda’s
First Grade Class
Our first grade enjoyed their first field trip of the year at MOSH in downtown Jacksonville.
They learned about bridges and even got to make their own at Construction Instruction!
