Collage offers community parents, as well as Collage parents, a Parents Night Out on Nov. 16, 2017, 5 – 7 p.m. Parents may drop off their children at Collage, 171 Canal Boulevard, Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida 32082, and go off to enjoy an evening out while their children participate in Nighttime Warrior Camp, part of our elite TimberNook nature experience.
Cost is $30 for first child and $25 for other siblings. The camp is recommended for ages 7-13 years old; however, younger children may participate if their parents are comfortable with them playing in the woods at dusk/nighttime. This camp is a twist on the traditional cops and robbers game with thieves attempting to steal the glowing jewels from nighttime warriors. Two colors of Glow-in-the-dark face paint will distinguish the thieves from the warriors.
The objective of the nighttime warriors is to defend and hide all four of their glowing jewels in, near, or around the fort they build to protect their jewels. They also need to construct a “dungeon” to place any thieves that cross into their territory. Kids will build forts while taking turns cooking their dinner of hot dogs and S’mores over an open fire.
TimberNook provides ample time for children to explore their surroundings, create, build, design, take risks and dive into their imagination – all while fostering a love for the great outdoors. Collage is proud to offer the only TimberNook nature experience in northeast Florida as part of its academically challenging education focused on the whole child, from three months old through fifth grade. The private school presents TimberNook experiences to the general community, as well, in programs such as Parents Night Out and in camps held during school breaks.
