Collage’s Vision for Outdoor Learning comes into Focus

June 16, 2017

Plans continue to be defined for Collage Day School’s use of its beautiful 8-acre campus to support the Health & Wellness program. Current plans call for an outside bowling alley, official race track, rock garden, paths, river rapids, volleyball, buddy bench, amphitheater, outdoor classroom, sand fossil pit, shade sails, amphitheater and more.

Learning, exploring and physical activity happen in AND outside the classroom at Collage. Director of Health & Wellness, Emily Vasquez is planning a wide variety of physical activities to promote the health of our students. Her P.E. curriculum will focus on individual skills, spatial/body awareness, directionality, fine/gross motor development, rhythm and movement, low organized and cooperative games.

The community will have several opportunities to check out our progress and learn more. In response to the great attendance during our first Sneak Preview Week, we’ve added a second Sneak Preview opportunity on July 18 and 20, 5 – 7 p.m. And, the Admissions Office continues to be open for tours, questions and applications every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Everyone is also invited to come enjoy our Family Day, July 22, 10 a.m. – noon, with games and outdoor fun for kids and campus tours for all. It’s fun, free and informative. Come check out all that we have to offer your child!
