Collage Adds Spanish as a Resource Class

September 29, 2017

Beginning this coming Thursday, Oct. 5, students, ages 2 and up, will begin learning Spanish each week from Collage’s newest resource teacher, Monica Sevlever! The class is the fifth resource class offered by Collage this school year, in addition to PE, yoga, art and music.

Ms. Monica comes to us with much experience. Born in Rosario, Argentina, she holds Florida Teacher Certification in Spanish K-12. She currently teaches Spanish at Bolles Lower School – Ponte Vedra Beach Campus and Ocean Palms and PVPV/Rawlings elementary schools.

“I strongly believe that the study of a second language results in cognitive benefits, gains in academic achievement and the development of a positive attitude towards cultural diversity,” Ms. Monica said. “Personally, it is very rewarding to be part of this process and to teach children and adolescents the Spanish language.”

We are thrilled to have Ms. Monica join Collage and bring her love of Spanish to our students!
