    Flexible Work Alternatives

    Collage Day School teachers have the option of working for 10 months teaching during the regular school year or for 12 months, supplementing school-year work with Collage Day School’s Summer Camp.

    Professional Development

    Collage Day School staff engages in ongoing professional development through the acquisition of continuing education credits and participation in workshops, advanced accreditation and certification programs. Collage Day School provides regular in-services and didactics in specific educational or clinical areas relevant to client and professional needs. We believe that, in order to be truly successful, we need to create a work environment where each individual reaches his or her highest professional potential.


    Collage Day School offers medical, dental and vision coverage to all of our full-time employees (30+ hours per week) after a 60-day introduction period has been completed successfully. Health insurance is provided through Florida Blue, which provides three options for coverage including employee-only coverage, coverage that includes the employee’s spouse or same-sex domestic partner and coverage that includes the employee’s children. The plans differ primarily by the co-payment involved. Collage Day School pays towards the employee share of the medical plans, with the employee solely responsible for paying towards family plans.

    On-Site Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

    Collage Day School offers an EAP program as a free, confidential on-site service that’s designed to help our employees and their families deal with personal problems that interfere with work or home life.

    Life Insurance

    Collage Day School offers employees a life insurance benefit. For a minimal cost, employees can purchase additional insurance for themselves or dependents, up to a maximum of $500,000 for the employee and spouse and up to $10,000 for a child.


    Together with TriNet, Collage Day School provides a workplace savings plan (401(k) Plan) with a wide range of investment options tailored to suit both conservative and aggressive investment strategies. Employees elect their contribution levels subject to IRS allowable limits.


    Depending on the position and years of service, employees can accrue three to six paid vacation weeks per year. Some teacher positions start with a minimum of five weeks.

    Short-Term Leave

    Full-time employees who qualify for FMLA (those who have been employed by Collage Day School for at least 12 consecutive months) will receive up to 12 weeks of paid short-term leave for placement of a child with the employee for adoption or foster care (within twelve (12) months of the placement of the child); for the employee to care for a spouse, child or parents if they have a “serious health condition”; or, if the employee has a “serious health condition” that makes the employee unable to perform the functions of the job.

    Long-Term Disability

    Collage Day School provides the families of our employees with financial protection through long-term disability insurance. At no cost to the employee, this plan pays a portion of the employee’s income while he or she is disabled. The benefit is based on the employee’s base salary and is payable after 180 days of missed work.

    Relocation Assistance

    Some positions include relocation assistance from outside the state of Florida.
