With increasing academic expectations in Kindergarten, some parents recognize the need for a transitional year where their child can continue to develop skills necessary to prepare for the learning that is to come. In response to this need, Collage Day School will be offering a Transitional Kindergarten Program for the 2019-2020 School Year. Through the implementation of standards-based curricula in conjunction with discovery-based learning, students will build the social and academic skills necessary in order to flourish upon entry into Kindergarten. Students enrolled in this program will each receive an Academic Student Achievement Plan (ASAP) that will set goals created through collaboration with staff and family. These plans will be designed to promote the achievement of meaningful learning outcomes and foster the development of independence and creative thinking throughout the school year. Teachers will meet with parents on a regular basis to discuss progress made toward these personalized educational goals and to foster the home-school connection necessary to promote student engagement that drives success.

  • Collage Day School empowers children to succeed as skilled communicators, keen observers of nature, and creative thinkers to become responsible citizens and innovative leaders.

Collage is a Reggio-inspired school which calls children to linger, explore and discover.  Our classrooms are aesthetically arranged to engage the senses in a calm and peaceful environment.  Children learn age appropriate skills through hands-on investigations that are open-ended and child directed.  In our full day programs, children attend music, art, and yoga classes.  All of our Trans-K children spend time in our natural setting and observe and interact with our school pets which include chickens, and rabbits.  Our classes are small with a 1:9 ratio with a maximum of 18 children in a class. Our students perform very well on their assessments and demonstrate creativity, self-control, persistence and confidence.

Our Trans-K teachers are creative and highly qualified educators with over 10 years of experience working with preschool age children.  Each day in our Trans-K classrooms is memorable.  Come join our Trans-K family and watch your child thrive in this unique learning environment.
