Weekly Newsletter Mar 29, 2021

We are thankful for our staff and families during the past year as we strived to keep our staff and students safe and healthy. Collage Day School is pleased to announce Early Learning Community Parents will begin dropping and picking-up their students from the interior classroom doors beginning Tuesday, June 1st. Preschool, Prekindergarten, and Elementary Students not enrolled in before care or aftercare (including those enrolled in Summer Programming) will continue to utilize the carline for arrivals and dismissals.

When dropping off your infant, one-year-old, or two-year-old student, parents will not be permitted inside the classroom. Instead, you will knock on the door, and the classroom teacher/assistant teacher will greet you at the door. Drop-offs and pick-ups are limited to less than 5-minutes due to contact time. Please know drop-offs and pick-up times are not designated as teacher conferences. When teachers are engaging with parents, it prevents them from providing adequate care and instruction. Conferences can be scheduled for a different time to foster communication. We also encourage you to utilize Procare for messages when applicable.

On Monday, May 24th, we will be holding an outdoor prekindergarten celebration for students. Festivities include arts and crafts, outdoor events, cookouts, and other forms of fun. We will be sure to take lots of pictures to post for families.

Summer Programming begins June 1st. Our Summer Programming Teachers will hold a “Meet The Teacher” on Friday, May 28th. The format will be similar to the “Meet The Teacher” held in August, as parents will sign-up for an individual session. Although this is not required, it is a time for parents to meet their student’s summer teacher(s). Please assist us with ensuring your student’s immunization and health records are up to date, as those are required for summer programming.
